Untackled stress factors create tensions within teams, reducing commitment and productivity. However, a well-functioning team requires individuals capable of prioritizing the team's interests over their own to a sufficient extent.

This is simple in theory but extremely challenging in practice. When individuals with different backgrounds, ways of thinking, values, and life experiences come together, disagreements and conflicts inevitably arise.

Building a high-performing team is hard work, often coming at an emotional cost. If we're not willing to pay that price, we may end up with a weak or mediocre outcome.

MY STORY

About 14 years ago, I was on the brink of despair with only two options: either things had to radically improve, or life wouldn't be worth living anymore. Today, I am immensely grateful that things did change. However, none of it happened on its own or without effort.

Along the way, I noticed that many work environments burden both employees and supervisors tremendously. I wanted to understand how these issues could be resolved. I read extensively on the topic and sought out environments where I could apply what I learned in practice. Later on, I pursued studies in leadership (Bachelor of Business Administration). Observing how many people experience workplace demands very differently, I wanted to understand this phenomenon. Why do some endure while others crumble? I wanted to learn how these skills could be developed.

This marked the beginning of my journey towards understanding coaching, stress, and mental performance. I am still on this journey today. I want to help as many individuals and communities as possible live a life where the weight of it all doesn't crush them.
